The turns and twists, and failure of Colt

Most of the time they shot themselves in the foot, it wasn't their products, but their marketing.

I'm not even sure it is there marketing. I think it is more of a product availability issue--at least when it comes to commercial handgun sales. I've wanted a SAA in .45 Colt for years but they never seem to be on dealer shelves. I'd also like to get one of their new Commander models in 9mm, but again I never see them. I keep checking Gallery of Guns and they rarely have any Colt handguns in stock. Colt prices are high--you can get comparable products at lower costs from other manufacturers--but the Colt name is something no one else can match.

Well when you focus your marketing towards Military, instead of civilian sales, then there is no product for civilians to buy.
