I sent an e-mail to Mike Piefer, Ruger's CEO, 2-3 months ago about when they were going to come out with an SR1911 in 9mm or .38 Super and he replied that they were working on it but were behind schedule. I suspect it had something to do with a change in design of the feed ramp.
