Wake Up Call

Haiti

I'm really amazed at how fast, and how well the response is going, when you consider the logistics involved it's pretty impressive

You are on your own, how prepared are you?
Food, water, medical, etc

Yes it takes time, effort, and money, but we are seeing what happens when you are completely unprepared, we saw it during Katrina here.

Earthquakes, Blizzards, Floods happen so are you ready just in case?

You should have everything you need to stay alive for at least 72 hours, and a week to 10 days is even better.

Think about splitting up caches, in case one is damaged, buried or destroyed

Network leave some stuff at a friends, etc.

We carry guns because we know the police can't always be there, that also means emt's, rescue teams, etc can't always be there. Are you going to be prepared until help gets there?

The survivalist blog has a great ebook (that's free) on how to prepare for disaster http://tinyurl.com/y8wnzog
I don't agree with everything that this website "teaches" but this pdf is a good source of knowledge and would be a help for disaster prep.
