The last 5 Minutes is very good
Why they keep licensed people off school property is beyond me, they can't keep active shooters off school property.

Brazilian Soldiers killed in Iraq
The Department Of Defense briefed President Obama this morning informing
him that 2 Brazilian soldiers were killed yesterday in Iraq. To everyone's surprise, all the color drained from the President's face. He then collapsed onto his desk, head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears.
Finally, he composed himself and asked, 'Just how many is a brazilian?'
This is especially poignant since he obviously has no understanding of billion or
trillion either.

Peaking?
Managed to hit the gun show yesterday, it seemed prices on AR's were a bit more reasonable.
Mags were still holding around $15 for 30 rounders, at a # of tables.
Ammo was still pricey, although I did find a dealer selling "Critical Defense" for $15 a box in 9mm, which isn't bad for self defense ammo.
Of course it was the end of the month, & people seem to be a bit tapped by then, & next month with tax refunds etc, it could pick back up.
Nothing I really found of interest, although I was a bit tempted by one of the new Pro Series S&W M&P 5 inch tacticals, nice trigger, fiber optic front sight. But right now I have a whole lot more handguns than I need or can shoot, so I saw no reason to spend the money.
We were only there about a hour & a half, & the crowd was picking up, so I may be wrong.

Went to Indy
Took the 4 hour course on using the mini baton (Kubotan), learned some very interesting stuff, I've carried one for several years but the course did expand my knowledge of this wonderful little tool. & many of the moves & locks can be done with a tactical light like a Sure Fire. I can really feel the effects on some nerve clusters this morning. It can be a handy item, when perhaps a gun is too much.

I'm alive
Yesterday I wasn't sure, but now seem to be recovering from the busy weekend.
Along with record sales in the gun industry, & all the ammo shortages, there has been a big increase in those wanting training for CCW.
Which is good it will increase our strength in the gun rights movement.
I always ask my students weather they are subjects or citizens, & explain that citizens involve themselves in their government, & that those who would take the guns want their little 5 shot "J" frames as much as they want the black assault rifles.
Hoping it helps our cause.

Tip of the Iceberg
The way things are going with housing, job losses etc we will see more of this, those that can should go armed, & they should carry fullsize pistols for these type.
of encounters, & perhaps a long gun for backup in the vehicle.
Strict gun control laws will not stop these kind of acts.

Attempting Wireless
There must be a hole in coverage tried to hook up a wireless modem to my computers yesterday, Verizon says I have full coverage, where I live, but both computers says I will incur a $20+ roaming charge if I hook up, & then won't allow me to hook up.
Of course I'm about as tech challenged as they come, it never seems to be as simple as the directions say, is it me or does everyone else run into this?
I have a busy 3 days, & not sure when I'll have time to call tech support (hope they speak english-that I can understand) But it would be handy to go faster, there are many days that the dail-up is more than flustrating. I end up doing only what I have to do, & not much of what I want to do.
PS: NO excuses this would be a good weekend to go to the range as it will be warmer than it been in about 4 months
