What a horrifying story. I had friends that were the victims of a home invasion. They eventually had to move (they both survived). Just last summer there was a home invasion 1 block from my house. On a Saturday. At 1:00 in the afternoon. 4 guys walked in the back door and demanded her money or they'd kill her. And this is a nice neighborhood of homes up to 4,500 square feet. That was the last straw for me. Got my concealed carry and made sure the shotgun had 5 shells it it and it stays under my side of the bed ready to go. And my 18 year old daughter is now a great shot with the .40 now.
