It's a little disarming," she said. "This is such a quiet community. We don't expect things like this."
"It's like Mayberry in the middle of Los Angeles," said Doyle Surratt, lead pastor of SeaCoast Grace Church. "We're small and all the kids go to school together."
There are no safe places, or safe neighborhood, and sadly in places like California only large groups victims, as the government does not trust the law abiding to be armed.
