Nice that Para decided to celebrate SASS, but I hope they aren't hoping many SASS types will actually BUY this 1911, which doesn't meet the SASS test for pre-1900 guns.
Why didn't Para make it a Western Action Shootist's Assn (WASA) gun, which DOES allow 1911's?
Or, maybe they could make the 7.63 mm Broomhandle Mauser in a replica handgun. Technically, that would qualify under SASS, although I've never seen one at a SASS meet.
Too bad Para felt the need to place a really ugly , laser-etched, billboard down the side of the slide
