Several years ago I dated a very liberal minded woman, she told me more than once if someone broke in her house she just hoped they would kill her quickly, and not torture her. I told her she needed to learn to fight, but she said someone might get hurt?, I gave her pepper spray, she threw it away, as it might blind an attacker. I never could understand her mindset, we broke up shortly after that.
