I have my doubts, as Full auto weapons are pretty tightly controlled, but it is possible, but then they also report on "Glock Revolvers" more than likely a semi auto version of an UZI.

Follow up: One shot, and the gun was a tech 9 semi auto, and as most tech 9's go appeared to jam, and they took it away from the shooter, and beat him rather severely, putting him in critical condition.

It also appears self defense is not allowed in Maryland as the guys who stopped him may be charged with assault
