They can all break, malfunction etc

I've had Revolvers lock up, 1911's & HP's jam, XD's malfunction, and I have seen Glocks fail too. They are all mechanical tools, and parts wear out, and break it's just that simple.

Accuracy

I had a friend that could put a magazine of 45's into a 1/2 inch hole at 7 yards with a Glock 45, but he did the same thing with Sig's & 1911's, and pretty much anything you handed him. But I would be on my 3rd mag with most of my hits on a paper plate by the time he did it.

Most quality guns out shoot the capability of the owner

The choice is personal, and we are blessed a cornucopia of quality firearms, I do believe we would be farther ahead to better ourselves as shooters than worry about who's gun is cooler.

Caliber
9mm or bigger, they have all succeeded and all have failed, it's more dependent on the attitude of the target, than any given caliber.
Hit some guys with a 22lr and they drop like a bag of hammers, hit some in the center with a dozen 40's and they keep going, people are unpredictable
