You need registration and licensing when you drive it on the public roads. The closest analogy with guns is carrying weapons in public, not buying guns in the first place, and there is a lot of bipartisan support for regulation of CCW licenses.<br /><br />I would LIKE to see guns regulated like automobiles; my car tag and driver's license are recognized in every state, not just my state, and that recognition preempts local laws.
